Living here I am faced with cliches of weddings and flower leis all the time, but as I was holding my love in my arms, I realized, that not everyone gets married in Hawaii. Not everyone meets the love of their life, Not everyone falls in love and is loved equally back, not everyone gets to spend their honeymoon in Hawaii, at the North Shore, at TURTLE BAY RESORT BABY!We weer SO lucky and got upgraded by the lovely receptionist, from a normal room to a COTTAGE! Just like in Forgetting Sarah Marshal! We were driven to our cottage in a golf buggy which was so cool, and showed in by our concierge. It was so large and beautiful and we couldn’t believe our luck. The bathroom was large and in marble with a shower and a tub. We were so happy just being there, ordering room service and laying on the hammock in the garden with a lovely view to the sea. We had a great night relaxing and pampering ourselves, well deserved after so long apart, and all the stress, and the hard work, and the build up to the wedding. Waking up the next day well rested with a complimentary late checkout, (among loads of other complimentary things, like Champagne, cookies, Turtle Bay merchandise, juice and chips). Newlyweds, and so happy! The resort is large and wonderful. With a big pool area, restaurants, spa, and a beach. We hung out at the beach for a few hoursThen we went for some food at the beach restaurant. We decided to come back on our one year anniversary, since we loved it so much. It was a good first honeymoon. yeah. FIRST honeymoon. It was only one night, so we are definitely going to have several honeymoons! And I can’t wait. But before that, real a life awaitin. Married life.
