We got up really early in the morning, after no sleep what so ever, and marched along with our suitcases to the bus stop and got on to the airport. We were perky and excited, and got to the tiny part of the airport that flies Island Air, who we were flying with, and after a very smooth process of check in, baggage and security, boarded the little plane.
Rick was already in dreamland the second after we took of, and as I couldn’t sleep I enjoyed a cup of coffee. The view was beautiful, and I was excited to go to this Island that I’ve wanted to go to for a long time, the Garden Island, with lots of flowers.
Landing with a bang, both Rick and I needed to use the toilet, and both ended up in our seperate shitstorms in our seperate toilets… so we treated ourselves to a taxi ride to the Resort, driving through beautiful scenery.
It was great seeing the enthusiastic Rachel again, who met us outside the lovely lobby of the ‘Point of Poipu’ Diamond resort. She took us to our room, and surprised us with the fact that we were given the master bedroom. Rick and I desperately needed a nap, while Rachel headed to the local beach.
After some over tired bickering and getting lost four times, Rachel came back and took us to the beach. We did a lunch in a little restaurant ‘ Brennecke’s beachfront restaurant’, right off the beach, which had a lovely view. The service was so and so, and the food was overpriced, but we were incredibly hungry, and felt so much better after some Fish taco’s and Nachos.
Rachel took us to ‘Keoke’s paradise’ a restaurant right by a little shopping mall, where we got our groceries. The food at this restaurant was AMAZING, and they served the best Ahi (Raw tuna) we’ve ever had. The service was great, live music and cool surroundings. Two full, fulfilled and sleepy people, ready for bed. After just a little bit of chilling in the great living room, watching some TV and Blogging of course. Can’t wait to see what day two is going to bring.
